Christine Demery
Christine Demery brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in her role as Practice Manager at Pause Allied Health. Working in both Government and non-Government agencies over the past 30 years, Christine holds an advanced level of Administration and Management skills that enables her to provide a high level of support in a time responsive, professional and ethical manner. Christine has had the opportunity to work in a diverse wide range of workplaces settings including NSW Police, Corrective Services, Communities and Justice, Training and Education, Industrial Relations, Vocational Guidance. This extends to non-for-profit organisations within early childhood and local businesses in property valuation.
Christine worked in retail after completing Year 12. She obtained a Certificate 1V in Office Administration and quickly found herself as Senior Administration Officer for the Department of Education. Over the course of her career Christine has also obtained various TAFE qualifications including Certificate 1V in Business Administration and Certificates III and IV in Accounting. Christine has had the opportunity to oversee a team of clerical support officers, manage administration trainees, mentor and train new staff as a Senior Administration Officer and undertake additional roles in Work Health and Safety and Peer Support Officer. Working in a variety of organisations has given Christine the ability to understand people from all perspectives. She is a Justice of the Peace and proud Indigenous woman.
Being born and raised in Quirindi, Christine has strong roots to the local area. She moved to Muswellbrook and raised two of her three children in this town before returning to Tamworth where she has lived for the past 20 years. Christine enjoys country living and enjoys the friendly, relaxed atmosphere which rural living brings. In her downtime she spends time with her children and other family members, catching up with friends and chasing after her beloved dacshunds Chippie and Zoe and cat, Bonnie.
Christine is passionate about helping others and enhancing the lives of those around her. She has a kind, generous nature and her drive to uphold solid Christian values drive her to give back to community where she can. If there are positive words Christine can provide it is “Never stop doing little things for others. Sometimes those little things occupy the biggest part of the hearts.”
