Michelle Champion
Beginning her career in a psychiatric hospital for eight years whilst studying, Michelle relocated to Australia in 2016 to register with AHPRA. Her professional journey has included working in Sydney schools, for Juvenile Justice, and in various private practices, allowing her to develop expertise across diverse presentations.
With a warm, humorous, and compassionate approach, Michelle specialises in trauma therapy and its impacts on mood, behaviour, and personality.
Her therapeutic toolkit includes clinical hypnosis, EMDR, imagery rescripting therapy, schema therapy, and inner child work or compassion focused therapy. She also incorporates mindfulness, ACT, CBT, and DBT techniques in her practice.
Michelle's expertise extends to treating a wide range of conditions including anxiety disorders, phobias, depression, PTSD, grief, adjustment disorders, and borderline personality disorder. She has valuable experience in risk assessment, emergency services, work cover, Christian and spiritual/existential counselling and completing NDIS assessments and applications.
Beyond her clinical work, Michelle maintains special interests in health and fitness, meditation, and philosophy. She continues to explore various therapeutic approaches, including alternative therapies such as Eastern philosophy and homeopathic theory, seeking to expand her knowledge and therapeutic capabilities to better serve her clients.
